The Hobo Railroad station is adjacent to the Comfort Inn & Suites Loon. In the summer this train meanders along the Pemigewasett River and offers a beautful scenic ride. The Hobo Railroad runs several children’s programs throughout the summer and in late November into December, the Hobo Railroad becomes the Polar Express. Alpine Zipline adventures and off-road safari headquarters are a two minute walk from our front door. Zip line across the tree tops of their private forest retreat or off road safari and enjoy some the great scenery that the White Mountain’s of New Hampshire have offer. Ski and snowboard rentals are available at Rodger’s Ski and Sports,. Simply walk from our front door to theirs and a whole new world awaits you as you ride the bike trail through Franconia Notch State Park.
We are at the gateway to Franconia Notch State Park and Loon Mountain Resort and located on the Kancamagus Scenic By-way. Skiing, snowmobiling and snowshoeing in winter; hiking, biking, fishing are but a few of the four season’s activities this area has to offer.
There are several great dining establishments just minutes away from our door. For great food and entertainment, the Woodstock Inn and Brewery is just the ticket. Other dining establishments such as the Common Man, Giordi’s Fish and Steak and the Gypsy are also close by.
